Not only is California-based EVE Corporation a leader in the niche market of hardware assisted verification, it is a regular contributor to and trusted resource for targeted publications that cover the verification and emulation industries. EVE’s management team consistently has between five and eight industry articles published per quarter, thus furthering EVE’s solid reputation as a thought leader and champion of innovation in a rapidly evolving industry.
Education for a technical niche
“Our products — fast RTL emulation systems — can be used for a wide variety of applications, some of which are in markets that have not traditionally been associated with our industry,” explains EVE’s Product Marketing Director Ron Choi.
“Also, the technology in our industry has progressed significantly over the past few years, and many people in our target audience have out-of-date information. Frequent publishing and community interaction helps us get the latest information about our products, technologies and methodologies out to a wide audience.”
As a progressive, action-oriented company, EVE doesn’t rely on search engines or RSS feeds alone to get the company’s published material in front of its target audiences. Rather, EVE partnered with Proven Systems in 2006 to produce and distribute Hot Verification News, EVE’s quarterly eNewsletter.
Expanding readership
“The newsletter is a very important tool for EVE to inform our audience of new products and features, to highlight recent success stories, and provide ideas and insight into best practices in our industry,” Choi says.
Hot Verification News also serves as a convenient, proactive means of driving readers to the many industry articles and events that EVE publishes or participates in each quarter.
“Our readers are frequently bombarded with emails for various articles, press releases and media alerts,” Choi adds. “Reporting all of our recent publications and events in a single newsletter provides our audience with an easy way to find all of the information they are looking for.”
Teaming with experts
When the idea of publishing an eNewsletter first came about, EVE’s professionals knew their limitations and turned to Proven Systems to outsource the design, production and distribution. It is a decision that, according to Choi, has translated to a superior product with minimal to no impact on company time and efficiency.
“Outsourcing has been very valuable for EVE,” he says. “As a small company with expertise in a very niche-market technology, we do not have much experience in generating a customer-consumable newsletter. Outsourcing has enabled us to get our detailed technical information out to our audience in a high-quality, easy-to-consume format without using a lot of our internal resources.”
